Our Rolex history

Founder Russell 'Rusty' Korman's journey began as a hobby during his time at The University of Texas, where he began selling African beads on the Drag in 1973. After realizing the potential of his venture, Rusty opened his first storefront in Dobie Mall. Over the years, Rusty would relocate several times before partnering with world-renowned designers and Rolex in 2011, evolving into Austin’s premier jewelry store offering exceptional customer service and a selection of fine jewelry and Swiss timepieces.

Austin’s Luxury Destination

Since 1973, Korman has been woven into the fabric of Austin, building a legacy rooted in integrity, exceptional quality, and connection. What began with beads at an art market on The University of Texas campus has evolved into Austin’s premier destination for the finest timepieces, diamonds, and fine jewelry from around the world.

Today, owners Kat and Larry Stokes' longtime dream has become a reality. With dedicated Rolex spaces on each of three levels, Korman brings together global craftsmanship and Austin spirit in a bespoke, vibrant setting designed for celebration.
